Determining Your Perfect Customer

Tuesday, November, 18th, 2014 at 7:36 am by Mike J. Agugliaro

Every customer is important. Whether you own an HVAC, electrical, or plumbing business, you thrive on your customer base. But there’s a big difference between a good customer and a great customer.

I’ve said it before, but sometimes success doesn’t come from gaining more customers. Have you ever heard of the 80/20 rule? The rule states that 80 percent of your business comes from 20 percent of your customer base. If you can achieve massive wealth by doing what you do best with the customers you already have, then it’s time to identify which ideal customers are making up that 20 percent.

So what are some of the qualities of your perfect customer?

They ask you to do what you do best. Your ideal customer needs and wants the services you provide. If a customer is mismatched to your offerings, you will never meet their expectations. You have to clearly define what your goals are for your business and find a customer who is searching for what you’re selling.

They come back for more. This customer is the core of your 20 percent because they are loyal. In their eyes, you are credible and trustworthy to do additional work. Deliver exceptional customer service, and they will hire you for repeat jobs every time.

They appreciate what you do. This customer doesn’t go running for the biggest sale they can find. They value your worth and are willing to pay the price for quality work. Their appreciation is shown through loyalty and word-of-mouth advertising.

If you want to make the phone ring, identify who you want calling. Know which customers are adding value to your service business and start investing your time in them. Customer service is at the core of business mastery.

Tailoring and focusing your marketing strategy is only one way to achieve total market domination. If you want to unlock more secrets of business mastery, be sure you visit the CEO Warrior events page and learn more about the $28 Million Fast Track Academy.
