When To Stay In Touch With Customers

Hey, Mike Agugliaro here bringing you a video, yes with this crazy mug on my head. You’re like “What? He’s lost all sense of reality.” No I was just sitting here holding this mug because I wanted to do a video about a subject and I was like “You know I wonder if you could stick this on your head, if it would just stay there.” I don’t know if that means I have a flat ass head or the mug’s flat, I don’t know what it is.

But here’s what I wanted to tell you, the message today is this, when do you keep in touch with your customers. Not so much when you keep in touch with them, how much do you care about them to then give them a gift or something. So many people do business with customers over and over and they never say thank you. Or maybe they say thank you in a little way, they send a postcard or a handwritten letter and it’s like “Yeah, thanks but I just gave you $10,000. That thank you is not enough.”

I wanted to share with you, one the concept of making sure you show your customers you appreciate them, right? Let them know really how much. The other thing is, you can see this here, this is our 20th anniversary mug. What we did was on our 20th year, which we’re going into our 21st year now and I’m wondering I still have 300 mugs, what am I going to do with them? I better give them away before it’s 25 years. We made these mugs up and we sent them to all our best customers to say “You know what? Thank you, you’re part of our great success.”

Ask yourself today what is it that you can give your customers to really show you appreciate them. I don’t know if a plunger and flashlight is better than the other or if a mug and a gift card is better, the only thing I know is here’s what you want to do, you want to take action and make sure that if customers are serving you, you give them a little nice thank you in return.
